With coronavirus ravaging humanity and causing global unrest, the quest to find a vaccine keeps heightening daily as scientists are working tirelessly to see that there is a solid solution to this pandemic. We might be getting close to conquering the war against this deadly virus since the Mordena Inc have released a statement reassuring that they are taking the steps in the right direction.

Coronavirus vaccine developed by America's National Institutes Of Health and Mordena Inc has boosted the immune system of participants and is showing promising results according to the company. The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based bitotech company is the first in the United States of America to announce an estimated date to start phase 3 trials .

Moderna was the first company in the U.S. to begin testing coronavirus vaccines in humans, giving its first dose March 16. On Tuesday, Mordena published it's first phase of clinical trial in the New Journal of Medicine.

The trial which involved a total of 45 participants was meant to test the safety of the new drug and not it's effectiveness but the company revealed that the participants developed antibodies key to fighting the virus at levels up to four times the amount found in patients who got sick and then recovered from the virus.

Dr. Iahn Gonsenhauser, chief quality and patient safety officer at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, said:

“These are the kinds of results that you want to see from an early trial,”
Moderna’s chief executive officer, St├ęphane Bancel, said in a statement that the company is
“committed to advancing the clinical development” of the vaccine “as quickly and safely as possible while investing to scale up manufacturing so that we can help address this global health emergency.”
The company revealed that they are capable of delivering over 500 million doses starting from the year, 2021.
